EDITORIAL: 12th November 2007

NEWS:

I recently (sadly) experienced a Blue Screen of Death failure with Vista. I have fixed the problem (related to corrupt nVidia device driver) but the fix is long and detailed. It required an additional PC (running XP) to review files). I am slowly working through the draft blog on how to fix this...

In other news, I am going to (slowly) tidy up some of the old posts and add screen shots. I will also continue to post blog updates as and when I find Vista Bugs!

Posts that have been tidied are as follows:
  1. USB Device drivers not found
  2. Loss of (previously working) video display. aka Driver rollback.
still to be done

  • Windows Update Error Code 52F
  • DVD/CD Drive no longer works, visible
Also, I am planning on adding some new posts over the Christmas Break.

To Write/Blog

  • Troubleshooting software installation
  • How to turn of User Account Control

If you think of any other topic that would be helpful, post a comment and if it's appropriate (and I know the answer) I will post a solution.
